- Translators
Experience: Must know Japanese and is capable to translate a whole episode.
To do: Translate an anime episode. - Translation Checkers
Experience: Must know some basic Japanese.
To do: Check if the translation is correct and is corresponding with what they are saying when timed. - Timers
Experience: Must have experience in timing with Aegisub or similar progs.
To do: You will time the translation to the video/audio. - Typesetters
Experience: Must know how to typeset in Aegisub.
To do: This person will typeset, that means you will make the subtitles look cool and place them correct at signs etc. - Quality Checkers
Experience: Not much, you need to know a few things about quality checking.
To do: You will check the episode out before its release for quality correctness (subs, video quality, etc). - Distro
Experience: None, you know what to do, have a server etc.
To do: You will distribute our releases.

Hmm I would apply for the encoder position. I do have some experience, but I don’t have the confidence, nor the experience to do so. That leaves Editor, and the QC position. What a dilemma :p.
loki-sama I could train you to match me and I am willing to train anyone who wants to apply.
Hi, I could most likely handle being an editor, or possibly an encoding position, but i have very little experience in encoding. Also, I would only take an encoder position if you required more than one, because i know Loki. Anyways, if you need two encoders i would be happy to oblige, and I could even serve as a backup editor, or vice-versa(Editor & backup encoder).
Kyuubi: editor and back up encoder would be helpful msg on irc or email above and we can figure out how to do it.
I have watch over 400 animes, I have alot of experience with quality checking, I’m also experienced with making subtitles, and also encoding. My original purpose was to make a fansubing group, but since I couldn’t find any staff, I would like to join a group ^_^

I would like to apply for the Translation Checker position.
I have been studying Japanese for over 6 years now. I could possibly do the Translation job, but I lack the confidence to do so at this time. After I learn how you guys do things and after a couple of episodes I might be able to step up to the Translation plate.
