*waiting for hd*
on May 8, 2008 on 1:11 am
Wow, wasn’t expecting that. Great work guys (and/or girls)!
on May 8, 2008 on 1:21 am
Woot! Thnx ….Cant wait to get my Bleach Fix…..^ ^
on May 8, 2008 on 1:21 am
hayai! nice work
on May 8, 2008 on 1:24 am
COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
but anyway i think what matters more than beating others in time is having a set time of realese (as set as possible), like done by the weekend or something
i mean since you have the quality edge anyway if people knew that every saturday for example they would have an episode they would more systematically start visiting you
on May 8, 2008 on 1:28 am
YAY! A big congrats at beating DB. I was seeing who would be the first to release the subbedV.
on May 8, 2008 on 1:47 am
not only did you beat DB, you kicked their ass!
on May 8, 2008 on 2:09 am
yay! thx!
on May 8, 2008 on 2:31 am

Que te jodan Credibility.
on May 8, 2008 on 3:55 am
Just to let you all know (since I can’t edit the post and pablo went to sleep -_-), there’s a v2 out - we rushed a bit to get the episode out so early, and made a few mistakes in the process. The updated torrent is on the tracker, or if you just want the updated script, you can get it here: http://apathy.p-static.net/flomp/Bleach_169_final.ass
on May 8, 2008 on 5:40 am
NICE ANGLE! But for me, you always defeat DB
Thanks again flomp!
on May 8, 2008 on 6:00 am
i hear a long “beep” sound in some scenes. is that part of the BG music?
on May 8, 2008 on 6:04 am
Since this is the newest topic i’ll post my comment about the new container used for the episodes, mkv is good, way better than avi, but most people are used to avi, if a change needs to be done, i would recommend mp4, since people are buying more ps3’s every day u guys should make an mp4 that is able to play on ps3 ( not every mp4 does ) an example is Vegapunk ( who subs One Piece ) they use mp4 and have done everything to make it playable on ps3. That way i dont need to use mkv2vod all the time to transcode anime to avi or mp4 T_T. I love watching anime on my 50″ vizio plasma <3. Thank you for reading.
on May 8, 2008 on 7:48 am
“With it all fixed. Enjoy the eps. btw WE BEAT DB w000TTTT!!!” first congrats for this and a lol too, wery nice xD + thx for the release.
I have a question why did you jump to 170mb? i have your releases from 128 and few eps are ~100-120mb, then you jumped to 140 and now 170. I dont complain but it does interest me cuz i dont see a big difference from then and now + i could store more on a dvd.
@Shinigami-PS3
well i depends what is more convenient. I personaly prefer mkv over mp4 cuz it can be soft subbed so should i ever learn jap i can tyrn off subs + it can contain mylti subs/audio, but ppl can chose what they prefer. And wasnt it better if you just hooked your pc with your 50″ vizio plasma??
on May 8, 2008 on 8:54 am
I hope the HD comes soon like tonight
on May 8, 2008 on 9:17 am
cool, speed and quality at the same time, you guys definitely made the right choice
thx
on May 8, 2008 on 11:27 am
I love that you guys release HD versions, but why don’t you release it first? Wouldn’t anyone rather watch the episode in HD?
on May 8, 2008 on 12:52 pm
wheres the episode 167? will it be released?
on May 8, 2008 on 1:03 pm
oh btw thanks again for another quality episode.. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK
on May 8, 2008 on 1:12 pm
If this is just SD I wonder what the HD’s gonna be like! Good job Flomp!
on May 8, 2008 on 1:28 pm
Wow you guys beat DB and your quality blows theres away, the last month or so DB’s quality has gone to crud even there naruto doesnt look very good anymore..
If you guys started subbing Naruto I’d come back to you guys, im a patient guy but when it comes to bleach & naruto im impatient as hell…
( ; _ ; )
on May 8, 2008 on 1:55 pm
@ Mic
Ep 167 has been out since… 21.4, it just seems that nobody botherd to update the main page about it -_- get the H264 SD release here: http://tracker.anirena.com/download.php?id=5988
on May 8, 2008 on 3:46 pm
You guys will always beat DB because of you quality subs general niceness and so on
on May 8, 2008 on 8:33 pm
Yay, sp33d!
I don’t mind waiting a day or two though.
So I’m looking forward to HD version and waiting with the DL.
on May 8, 2008 on 10:37 pm
you beat DB but you had to put out a V2, so in the end you reallly didnt.
on May 9, 2008 on 12:10 am
SHI the v2 was just to make it match the HD in final script corrections.
on May 9, 2008 on 12:24 am
wow shi just shut up..but thanks flomp for the HD
on May 9, 2008 on 12:32 am
@z_p, you must either be on crack, stupid or blind. Flomp has never released files in the 100-120 MB range, atleast not for the LQ’s. The HQ’s one ranged because of the raw you use (and other matters), so they differ slightly. I’m thinking you probably aren’t downloading from Flomp’s BT Tracker or IRC. You probably most likely got them from sites that re-encode (loss of quality occurs) the videos. Check Flomp’s tracker for details.
on May 9, 2008 on 2:03 am
*Quote = SHI : you beat DB but you had to put out a V2, so in the end you reallly didnt*
Actually, the V2 came out just 2hrs after there initial release. DB didn’t get there’s out till 1-ish am the next day. They STILL beat them by a many hours, with the V2 release.
on May 9, 2008 on 2:09 am
@SHI
Flomp still pwned DB. Some groups tend not to re-check translations nor take feedback to find errors and put out a v2, whether it’s a major fix or just to edit a single line of dialouge. So kudos to Flomp for bothering to put out a v2. Besides, DB also releases v2 episodes from time to time. Flomp still has the better record with higher quality translations and fewer v2 episodes.
@jonnyquesty2k
Actually, z_p is right. From 121 to 157, the average file size of the MKV episodes was 140 MB. However, episodes 128, 131 and 132 were all rather small, clocking in at 99, 101 and 108 MB respectively. Only from 158 onwards did the average episode become 170MB.
on May 9, 2008 on 3:42 am
You guys really are too easy to get going!
My experiment was a success, one comment and you all turn into “FLAMERS”!
on May 9, 2008 on 3:45 am
Yay! Quick release for the HD too
I love the new theme, by the way.
on May 9, 2008 on 4:02 am
YO I love you guys I was so sick of DB not listening to people about raising quality and/or HD versions, I mean I’ve got a 30″ LCD connected to my PC (for films and anime), I wanna make the most of it.
Anyone know where I can get shipuuden in HD too???? Consider this a request all you wonderful people at flomp!
on May 9, 2008 on 5:22 am
@SHI: You are retard ^_^. You think you’re cool now?
So anyway, I dunno, what’s all the fuzz about beating Dattebayo. They are damn good speed-subber and I don’t understand what people have problems with them. I am seeing everywhere retards glorifying crappy shit-subs being better than Dattebayo’s ones only because they dislike DB. You’re funny people.
As of for me I am going to collect Flomp-Rumbel-Subs, because they are releasing Bleach in a higher quality, though Dattebayo where very fine, too.
Keep up the good work Flomp and Rumbel ;).
on May 9, 2008 on 12:54 pm
Ok, so the HD release is still over 300MB… That really wouldn’t be a problem for me, but if the seeding is going to be this slow (currently ~30KB/s) it will take 2-3 hours to get the ep downloaded… And yes, I have a 8Mbps connection, and I have reached the maximum of ~850KB/s download rates, so the problem is not with my connection, I believe. If you really want to do big-ass-releases, could you also get some seeders that are able to seed fast?
And oh my god, this new layout is killing my eyes… Any chance of getting it changed to something not-so-gaudy? ^_^’
on May 9, 2008 on 1:05 pm
@Darth Arrow
Tnx..
on May 9, 2008 on 1:34 pm
Darth Arrow: Aww, I like the new layout. Also, re: seeding, we usually have some decent seeders, but for 169 HD it was just me seeding unfortunately, and I only had about 10 mbit to throw at it.
on May 9, 2008 on 1:37 pm
thanks. always appreciate your releases.
on May 9, 2008 on 2:18 pm
green aint good >,,<
on May 9, 2008 on 2:39 pm
@ p-static
Yeah, and I kinda jumped the gun on that seeding comment, I apologize, the average download rate was finally 153KB/s which is kinda decent (could be faster though…
but every now and then it dropped below 25KB/s which is pure pain with ~340MB file.
And no, I really don’t like the layout, it’s annoying to read, sorry to say -_-’ It has style, sure, but… it ain’t really all that practical I think.
on May 9, 2008 on 4:07 pm
Superb release guys.
By the way I think the layout kicks ass ^^
on May 9, 2008 on 4:14 pm
@Totenkruez: Did you actually READ what I wrote? I said “atleast not for the LQ’s.” The few ones that were released under 120 MB were for the HQ’s. A lesson for you and z_p. The LQ’s are the XviD’s or rather when they were still doing them. The HQ’s are the H.264 codec used videos. You don’t need to have much knowledge in encoding or be a fansubber to know that. H.264 has been out and known as a HQ codec for years. Same applies for XviD that compared to H.264 it is obviously a lower-based codec.
And lastly in response to z_p to defend Shinigama-PS3; MP4 (those compatible with PSP/PS3) can be softsubbed as far as some Encoders have told me. It isn’t as straight forward for playback as MKV (and other matters) thus people don’t use it. The other problem is, softsubbed MP4 is useless because you can’t play them on you PSP, PS3, or other MP4 capable devices but that’s only because the devices don’t have a “switch” to make it work. I’m sure there are Encoders out there who have created a program for their Linux PS3’s (as an example) from which you can play softsubbed files. (And yes, AVI can also be softsubbed - I’ve done it myself).
on May 9, 2008 on 4:49 pm
@shi
find a hobby please
on May 9, 2008 on 4:50 pm
im sorry guys but this layout is :\
on May 9, 2008 on 8:00 pm
I think the layout is pretty good. Could use a little more variation in shades though. For instance the sidebar doesn’t stand out enough from every thing else. It almost feels hidden.
on May 9, 2008 on 8:45 pm
wow! new layout! i like the hd now! my pc can handle it now unlike the episode 168 hd. opening and ending is not playing well. thanks again flomp!
on May 9, 2008 on 10:32 pm
Good stuff on the release and congrats on beating DB. However, you guys always beat them. Its been hard in the past, but I force myself to wait for you guys regardless of how long you take.
@Orochimaru, i’ve got my HDTV setup like that as well. It only took one episode of Gundam 00 to know that this was the only way I should be watching anime.
on May 10, 2008 on 9:59 am
the layout will change when i want to change it >.>
which is today/tomorrow
AND it’s gonna be pink for mother’s day
i hope you guys remembered it was mother’s day
on May 10, 2008 on 2:12 pm
I feel spoiled, watching the older episodes and other anime doesn’t compare anymore
on May 10, 2008 on 8:06 pm
I think Flomp is gonna be the mainstream sub for bleach now…DB should just quit while their ahead with Naruto….
Now I’ve got to keep rencoding Bleach eps to make more room on my HD….Damn xvid Lunar eps…..
on May 10, 2008 on 8:07 pm
I just downloaded the HD version of this episode and it only plays the first five minutes of it. The file size is 342 Megabytes and I am running it on Media Classic Player. What am I doing wrong?
on May 11, 2008 on 2:23 am
@yeah
lol

on May 12, 2008 on 3:06 am
thx for the new layout! it still makes my eyes bleed though(in a good way ^,^)~
on May 12, 2008 on 2:41 pm
ok so vlc doesn’t work and i can’t see the subs in media payer classic, wmp, and zoom?? help please!
on May 12, 2008 on 8:29 pm
hmm do you have vobsub installed or CCCP?
on May 12, 2008 on 10:21 pm
MATROSKA, CCCP, AND VOB SUB ARE INSTALLED
on May 12, 2008 on 10:25 pm
ALTHOUGH IT’S NOT TRUE, ASSUME I’M A TOTAL N00B AND TELL ME WHAT YOU USE TO PLAY THE HD VERSION - IT WILL HELP OTHERS TOO, MAYBE!
on May 12, 2008 on 10:34 pm
SORRY FOR SO MANY POSTS/CAPS LOCK, BUT I TRIED RIGHT CLICKING ON THE CCCP/MATROSKA ICONS IN THE TASKBAR AND THE SUBTITLES ARE SELECTED THEY JUST DONT APPEAR IN ANY OF THE PLAYERS MENTIONED, I TRIED VOB SUB BUT IT WOULDN’T ACCEP MKV AS A SOURCE, AND VLC WHICH I NORMALLY USE FOR THE SD’S WITHOUT PROBLEM JUST CRASHES!!
on May 12, 2008 on 11:38 pm
try km player it was made to play mkv files
on May 13, 2008 on 1:27 am
Thanks Shipuudenfan!
on May 13, 2008 on 8:50 am
when i try to use Avirecomp to hardsub ep168,1)the font of the intro is VERY LARGE while the rest is good and when i try to make it smaller, the sub of the episode become VERY SMALL and unreadable. 2)when i encode the same ep by alltoavi it’s good till the ending which become VERY SLOW and the song finish while i didn’t reach the end of the ending song yet.
the rest of the episode i had no problem in conversion or hardsubing.thanks
on May 13, 2008 on 12:24 pm
@jonnyquesty2k
I asked for mkv releases why the the jump from 100mb to 170. Checked trackar aniarena (http://tracker.anirena.com/browse.php?search=bleach&page=1) check ep >[Flomp-Rumbel] Bleach - 131 [H264][MULTI][593C2699]< file size 101.41 MB now its 170 for eps.
Second i dint defend his PS3 i just said that i prefer mkv and that its a good container and i have suggested that he hooks his pc instead of ps3 since he could avoid playback issues. I too have seen avi with dual audio and softsubbs (examlpe: [AHQ] Hellsing in avi).
on May 13, 2008 on 1:04 pm
Vega Punk render all the subtitles on the video allowing them to make mp4 files
mp4 play on new DVD players, ipods etc etc
one less stream (ass) to worry about=less playback issues
just an idea, great work anyhoo
on May 13, 2008 on 7:59 pm
Kewl! Now DB has been beaten to the ground!
Tnx 4 d ep
on May 14, 2008 on 12:28 am
You guys suck asshole. Thanks for reading and I hope you all lose more fans of your subbing group. That is all

on May 14, 2008 on 8:58 am
I have a request that is can Flomp Fansub sub old BLEACH anime?
on May 14, 2008 on 8:59 am
I mean old episode…DB didn’t do that in DB fansub only contain Bleach 50-until the new one
on May 14, 2008 on 9:30 am
@fansofanime
I doubt Flomp will ever do that. There really is no point in that. That would consume MUCH time and would be huge amount of work, and besides, almost everybody have already seen the episodes and currently the older episodes have already been aired in the states and various DVD-rip groups have ripped them also…
If you want to see older Bleach episodes, I’d recommend Lunar-anime for episodes 1-70 (they were really good in my opinion), then for episodes 71-89 you could get Bleach-Society’s episodes (some of the staff from Bleach-Society are now continuing subbing Bleach with Flomp) then if you REALLY want to avoid getting Dattebayos subs you can download episodes 90-94 from Triumph fansubs, if you can find them that is, but then for episodes 95-120 only Dattebayo have subbed those episodes. Then it’s Flomp from 121-
on May 15, 2008 on 2:37 pm
Why have you hard subbed the intro song for this ep where as 168 was soft subbed and it looked sharper. I know that VLC is abit shite at displaying subbs but the CCCPack with the Halli app added displayed these subs just fine. Also why is there the Tv Tokyo logo on this ep but not on the previous one, is this a new thing from the broadcaster and will likely be on newer eps?
on May 15, 2008 on 3:56 pm
I believe we found that the softsubbed karaoke tends to tax lower-spec’d machines too much. Hardsubbed karaoke is standard, anyway.
on May 15, 2008 on 6:01 pm
Ah ok thought it might be something like that. Anyway thankyou for answering, it’s a much friendlier environment at Flomp. If I’d asked DB that it would just result in me getting banned! Not that it matters don’t use them anymore anyway. No HD and lots of spelling mistakes. Flomp Rules!
