Bleach 170 SD and HD!
Another same-day release, in better quality than last week! Expect the HD version tomorrow, or tonight if we’re really on a roll.
Bleach 170 704×396 SD (170 MB)
Bleach 170 1280×720 HD (342 MB)
Just to let you all know, the script for the HD version is slightly different from the one we released in the SD, since we hired a new QC person in the time between the two releases, and they made some changes. If you want the final script, you can get it here: Bleach 170 final script The changes are pretty small overall, mostly changes in phrasing, so we’re not going to be releasing a v2.
on May 14, 2008 on 11:58 pm
Excellent, keep up the good (and speedy) work
on May 14, 2008 on 11:59 pm
god always the weak [SD] first lol jk but thanks for the update about the HD.
on May 15, 2008 on 12:09 am
Thanks guys =] ….but next time can u make the HD version first ..Pleaseeee
!
on May 15, 2008 on 12:23 am
wth faggots, we already have 50 people subbing this crap. you should sub shugo chara instead.
on May 15, 2008 on 12:25 am
BTW for all of you waiting for the HD. The encode process we use demands time. Therefore do not ask for the ETA. The SD is what we will release first until time comes when we get our own dedicated raw capper.
on May 15, 2008 on 12:26 am
Aah that was fast! Download-ago-go.
on May 15, 2008 on 12:34 am
Actually, I don’t think anybody’s subbing Bleach except for us and DB (somebody correct me if I’m wrong).
For all of you who want the HD, the fact is, it takes longer to encode than the SD. There’s no getting around that. Also, we’re more likely to switch to a better raw for the HD if one shows up, since the quality difference is easier to see.
on May 15, 2008 on 12:35 am
Hey, C&S…
Shut up.
on May 15, 2008 on 3:08 am
@C&S
Kid: Mom, another torll.
Mom: It’s Ok. Honey, they’re back
Dad: Don’t worry, I’ve got something better this time *burns C&S with a flame-thrower*
Yes, it takes more to encode HD then SD. But really, can’t you wait 24 hours? Is it really a matter of life and death? Will your internal organs fail if you don’t watch Bleach NOW?
on May 15, 2008 on 3:08 am
Haha… C&S is such a nigger! I love black people
on May 15, 2008 on 3:10 am
you are as fast as hell thanks flomp
on May 15, 2008 on 3:10 am
Dangit.. i should probably quit writing what I think lol
YAY for the Bleach episodes! Way better than DB
on May 15, 2008 on 5:25 am
Thanks for the release. However, why isn’t this Mod16? D:
on May 15, 2008 on 5:32 am
you are getting faster and faster
keep up the good work flomp
on May 15, 2008 on 9:03 am
wow! i love your subs but i love it more now! do you want to know? because your speed is so cool! don’t need to wait for saturday to download your super cool subs! death to avi idea is a cool one ^_^ patiently waiting for the HD
love you flomp!
on May 15, 2008 on 4:11 pm
@ pablo212 to you encode the bleach episodes???? if so you have alot to do..and may i ask pablo212 do u encode soul eater as well if so did u start epi 6 at all???
on May 15, 2008 on 5:30 pm
Thanks for the release, your HD version of Bleach is always worth the extra wait.
Though, in my opinion you should stop with the SD release. Who is it for anyway? People with crap computers? If they can’t playback simple 720P, it is time to buy a new computer or get off the internet. >_-
on May 15, 2008 on 5:40 pm
lol jocke its for pure speed
@Shippuudenfan101: yea I am the encoder for all of Rumbel and Flomp and yes it is started and nearing completion just waiting on a good HD raw.
on May 15, 2008 on 6:00 pm
@ pablo212 for a good raw what about the one on tokyo toshokan who know the [アニメ] SOUL EATER -ソウルイーター- 第06話 「噂の新入生!~想い出いっぱい、キッドの死武専初登校?~」 (TVO x264+AAC 16:9 1440×1080).mp4

really good raw
on May 15, 2008 on 6:52 pm
Link doesn’t work.
is it only me?
on May 15, 2008 on 8:11 pm
that raw shippudanfan is for the normal censored one not the late night one :p
@Luschig for what?
on May 15, 2008 on 8:23 pm
so about how many DL ur subs is it in the 10,000’s a week?
on May 15, 2008 on 8:31 pm
ooo ok srry just trying to help… but thanks for checking!!!
on May 16, 2008 on 1:32 am
I’ll wait for the HD one as thats what I come here for ^_^ love the high quality!
on May 16, 2008 on 10:50 am
I’m waiting for HD, but just a quick question to determine whether I should DL at all:
Are the current eps (the cut being at Ep 16
written by the idiot who “created” the “Bount” arc? That cut seems a painful lot like the one after the Aizen Ascention.
In case I’m right and it IS that saboteur, there’s only one sane choice: Put up a warning and suspend until it’s over. Or keep subbing if you’re masochists, but please put up a little text now and once the real Bleach continues.
Seriously, how the hell did they teleport back and stop the Battle right in the enemy base? Is that in any way compatible to the manga?!? (I don’t know it, but I doubt it.)
on May 16, 2008 on 10:52 am
Sorry bout double post. In case someone doesn’t get it: That’s supposed to be the number 168 where that smiley is.
I forgot about that smiley combination.
on May 16, 2008 on 11:14 am
yay bleach!
on May 16, 2008 on 1:44 pm
@ForceDestroyer
the idiot who created the bounto arc is the same idiot(s) who created all the others
the scenario, story, plot etc same people, all based on Tite Kubo’s manga
who told you if something is not on the manga its not still based on a (maybe side) Tite Kubo’s story ?
@ the guy who said this: “we already have 50 people subbing this crap”
didn’t you notice how many comments each episode gets especially after the HD routine ? it means these guys are doing it right
@flomp
good work
on May 17, 2008 on 9:00 am
Hey dont want to complain here but when is the HD release out?
on May 17, 2008 on 1:35 pm
@ViralGaara:
That seems hard to believe. Well, what happened is this: While the Bount arc was on, the quality dropped significantly. I was like “WTF?” and checked on it. I read in Wikipedia that this is not according to Manga.
Please correct the Wikipedia Entry if you can cite the origin of the Bount.
Otherwise, I believe what I see, and that is the Bount arc having a clear cut and horrible quality. Now, there was another cut, which doesn’t fit into the storyline at all, as they were in the midst of Hueco Mundo when “it” happened.
Also, someone told me that there is another fight right when the cut happened, and Nel staying in the Party.
Thus, I sense BS upcoming.
on May 17, 2008 on 1:40 pm
ForceDestroyer is correct, the Bount arc never appeared in the manga. (You can usually spot a filler arc by the way it just copies material from previous arcs. :/ )
on May 17, 2008 on 1:58 pm
Thx for the epi, but for the sd release i prefer a .avi version and for the hd a .mkv. ^^’
on May 17, 2008 on 9:41 pm
thanks for the HD release.
on May 17, 2008 on 10:11 pm
Cheers
on May 18, 2008 on 3:38 am
yay bleach HD! thx
on May 18, 2008 on 12:29 pm
@whomever i was talking to
I NEVER said the Bounto Arc is in the manga, please learn to read, i don’t need to check wikianything, i know that because i own most of the the manga released to date. That doesn’t mean they didn’t or couldn’t have Tite Kubo write a non manga story for another anime arc; for the love of god please stop justifying your nagging every godamn time on whats in the manga and whats not
Point n.2, if you don’t like the show don’t watch it ! You pay nothing anyway so please stop complaining: NOBODY needs another CAPTAIN OBVIOUS to point out what episodes are worse than others, its annoying and kinda like duh !
@Flomp
can you release a separate subtile file every time its very convinient
@Karurura
to have the same level of the sd version an avi would have to climb up to about 200 mbs
on May 18, 2008 on 1:22 pm
Viral Gaara: why do you need a separate sub file? Rather, what is it you’re doing where a separate file is more convenient?
on May 18, 2008 on 2:16 pm
hmm, somehow, the hd-version has a bug in the extro
but thx anyway
on May 18, 2008 on 6:58 pm
thanks for the HD
cant wait for pablo212 to encode soul eater!!
on May 19, 2008 on 12:37 am
something’s wrong with the ED for the hd version, so slooooooow…
on May 19, 2008 on 3:36 pm
Can you guys save the prince of tennis fans and sub prince of tennis ova 20 that came out on dvd 2 weeks ago. I can find a raw for ya if you need it. Your groups translation, subbing, and speed is superb and would ebnefit the prince of tennis community who has waited weeks to see the new episode that we waited months for to come out on dvd.
on May 19, 2008 on 3:59 pm
The ending is slow because the ED is at 60FPS while everything else is 23FPS… it is the same deal with episode 168 if you check.
Blame the encoder for loving to crush your machine that didn’t cost 3000 dollars.
on May 19, 2008 on 8:19 pm
hey dont blame the encoder…its the same speed as always no change well for me at least and if you machine cant handle it just get a better computer and no you dont need to spend over 3,000 and if your to cheap to do tht dont watch the HD
on May 19, 2008 on 8:45 pm
@Omega
How can the ED be at 60fps when the video is at 23fps? It’s just not possible becasue video trhoughout can only be at one fps….unless I’m wrong which I’m almost sure I’m not( though surpise me)k it’s just not possible.
on May 20, 2008 on 12:19 am
Ask him yourself then.
It’s true.
on May 20, 2008 on 2:27 am
Dark-Aries: Congrats you are wrong, we encode VFR which means variable frame rate which refers to an altering fps so it can go from 1fps to 120fps. Dependant on the action and Telecine setup.
on May 20, 2008 on 3:34 am
Pablo can you all sub prince of tennis ova episodes that come out every couple of months for the prince of tennis community? ova 20 been out for weeks and we’re dieing for somebody to fansub it for us.
on May 20, 2008 on 5:49 am
I dont get, why the ending is on 60fps?
How does it benefit it?
on May 20, 2008 on 7:24 am
@Pablo
first time I’ve heard of VFR….Good to know about it…now time to find the option of it in Megui….
at Yunji
If the encoder thinks that the ending needs 60fps compared to everything else to look smooth without dropping any frames whatsoever…then the ending needs 60fps. I can’t explain it. It’s like how you’re tagging along with friends but you realized you have to run to catch up to them.
on May 20, 2008 on 12:42 pm
Draco: we will look into it, but atm we are short on staff and need more.
on May 20, 2008 on 3:40 pm
hey pablo…if you guys want I’ll encode Prince of Tennis for ya. x264 farming FTW!
on May 20, 2008 on 5:30 pm
dark-aries: Unless you can farm together roughly 12ghz+ of processing power with a crap load of memory then I would suggest thinkin of another position as Encoding is perfect atm.
on May 20, 2008 on 6:38 pm
encoding is only perfect cuz your doing it
@pablo212 i hope you found a raw for episode 6 cuz im dying to see it and now you guys are an episode behind but o well u can catch up
on May 20, 2008 on 6:39 pm
12GHz…damn..I can’t beat that…sorry…I have can connect a P4 single core 3ghz, my dual core amd 4000 and a celeron at 1.6ghz….that’s around….8ghz? But damn….How much money did that thing(s) cost!
on May 20, 2008 on 6:43 pm
Edit: NVM…I forgot you guys have to quadcore lappy…. I wish I had a lappy like that….
on May 21, 2008 on 12:15 am
Actually I havent used the lappy in almost 5 weeks its done using a remote server running Vista 64bit so it is more then capable.
on May 21, 2008 on 1:54 am
@pablo212
please pablo can u finish the rest of the guide coz i have ALOT of problems in converting ep168.thanks
p.s the rest of the eps r converted fine,may be coz of the hardsubbed intro and extro.
on May 21, 2008 on 7:40 am
where did you guys get the money for your sever…makes me keep thinking about getting a job…
on May 21, 2008 on 1:57 pm
@ViralGaara: Okay, I should have cited correctly: “exclusive to the Anime”. True, you didn’t say it was in the Manga, but I assumed that is what original Bleach content is created as. Do you have any reason to believe that Tite Kubo is even fine with this abomination of a “plot turn”?
I was not being sarcastic. I do stop watching if I don’t like it, and so I did for a while, up to the Hueco Mundo arc. But I don’t dislike Bleach.
I wonder how you can enjoy Bleach and not notice the massive difference in style between the two kinds of Episodes there are. If they really were made by the same author, he must be on drugs from time to time. And willing to cut up his timeline.
on May 21, 2008 on 7:31 pm
eh im ok with the plot turn. i mean its better than them fouling up the manga like with fullmetal alchemist. at least this way there is no change in the manga storyline. and for those who have not read whats going on since 167, it gets so much better.
on May 22, 2008 on 12:45 am
i still don’t get it why the slow ED, i mean, sure my pc isn’t new but isn’t old either, i can play crysis at very high at stable 30fps yet ep 168 and 170 look terrible at the end, any special reason why 60fps encode? so now i should just buy a quad core to play the ed? common… -_-
btw cool avatars
on May 22, 2008 on 8:13 am
Thanks for the HD, but I should report that the framerate was pretty inconsistent on VLC OSX although I usually run 720p smoothly. Man I miss XP.
on May 22, 2008 on 1:39 pm
pstatic Says:
why do you need a separate sub file?
because i use the subs with a raw file since i don’ want anything enocded on the video like the karaoke which is becoming REALLY annoying & when episodes have these framerate problems or other encoding problems i don’t have to bug the group since the raws i have are usually fine
@ForceDestroyer
whatever
on May 22, 2008 on 6:57 pm
@Viral Gaara
did u find a good RAW for ep168 coz i’m facing alot of troubles converting it,so it’d be much easier to use the subs in a good quality RAW like Flomp eps in video quality.thanks
on May 22, 2008 on 10:36 pm
The hardsubbed ending karaoke should be able to be played with 60fps any dual core Windows machine. You will need coreavc but it will work. It may also play back on fast single core machines. Episode 168 was hard to play back since it had softsubbed karaoke. Episode 168 with softsubbed karaoke on a 60fps was a bad idea.
I can play 169 and 170 back on a Vista machine with almost no issues on a 2.0ghz core 2 duo processor with coreavc 1.7 (1.6.5 should be slightly faster) and the playback limited to running on a single processor core.
The ending at 60fps technically hurts the compression slightly because there are more frames to encode but due to multiple factors it shouldn’t hurt quality. It makes the ending smoother and also makes the karaoke effects smoother. 23.976 is actually a really low framerate, it works out OK for film due to motion blurring and other film effets but its not really smooth for digital video and stuff like games. 30fps is decent, 60fps is smooth.
on May 22, 2008 on 10:52 pm
If you look at the SD encode you will notice that the ending on it is somewhat choppy in places. This is because its at 23.976 fps when the source video is actually at a higher framerate.
This means in the encoding process some frames were dropped that contain motion. So even on a fast machine a 23.976 fps ending will not play back smoothly since the video itself isn’t smooth.
So you either get an ending that shares the fps of the source video in HD that might not play back on slower machines, or you get the SD that will have a somewhat choppy ending on every machine.
The SD encode is meant to play back on as wide a variety of computers as is reasonable, and the HD is meant to look as good as it can. If you can play back everything but the ending on the HD you are doing OK. If the ending gives you a bit of trouble that is unfortunate but any changes to it compromise the overall quality of the video for everyone.
One additional setting available on CoreAVC that might help you a little bit is to allow it to skip deblocking when safe, this will slightly reduce cpu usage in some situations.
on May 24, 2008 on 10:53 am
@Nintendo
yes:
http://isohunt.com/torrents/?iht=-1&ihq=l33t+bleach+168
hope it’s still there
on May 24, 2008 on 11:29 am
one more thing
to sync the above raw with the flomp subtitles
the subtitles after the intro will have to be shift back 10 seconds
