Eureka 7!

I bet most of ya’ll didn’t even remember that we were doing Eureka 7. :) Well, we are, or rather were – here are the final 8 episodes of the series. (I’m still not entirely sure how I ended up doing the release for this, but that’s life I guess.)

Eureka 7 – 43-50 (dual-audio MKV)

Also, a status update Re: Bleach: In case you haven’t been following the comments in the previous post, we had translations for episodes through 177, but pablo somehow lost them. Even worse, all of our normal translators have decided that they really don’t care for this filler arc. Pablo has agreed (we think) to fill in until/unless we can find somebody else, but he’s pretty busy or something like that. So, we haven’t dropped the series, and we don’t plan to drop the series, but it’s hard to sub a series without translations. :(

Re: xxxHolic: The translator for xxxHolic lost interest halfway through the series, so we’re kind of stalled on that. We plan to release the episodes we do have translations for, but after that it’s up to whether or not we can find another translator basically.

Hey,
So, if you had translations for the Bleach episodes you could get ‘em out?
If you’d use them, I might be able to give you some translations for some of the filler episodes? I understand the Japanese, I’d just quite like the higher-quality video encodeds :)

But I won’t do ‘em unless you ask, since writing all that down is sure to be a pain in the ass :D

Spiral Devil Says:

I was watching Bleach from you

You stopped it in favour of xxxHolic, which you dropped after one episode.

Now you do a series, THAT IS ALREADY DONE and is AVAILABLE ON DVD.

So not only you are totally unrelieble and apparently uninterested in anime, but you are trying to sabotage (well, you are! ) the OFFICIAL release of a great show like Eureka 7 that finally made it out of Japan .

Sad

19. 19
Merril Says:

Spiral Devil your facts are completely wrong, please don’t flame the nice people here.

20. 20
Spiral Devil Says:

Eureka has already been worked by another group, top to bottom.

They worked/started on TV captured episodes not DVD, while Eureka was only available in Japan.

Now Eureka IS LICENSED and properly available on DVD outside Japan.

Any other distribution is antagonizing the official one, and is ethically and legaly unacceptable.

Fansubbers ARE NOT the same as groups who release anime from DVDs, or release an anime while it’s domestically sold. KAA for example are thieves.

For me, ingoring all the above makes someone uninterested in anime.

Flomp does an episode or two of something and then they stop, that makes them unrelieble.

21. 21
Ischaldirh Says:

Whatever else you may say, doesn’t change the fact that you are a douchebag.

22. 22
Dnous Says:

Welll actually… What Spiral Devil says is about what fansubbing was about. Subbing crap that wasn’t available oustide Japan. These days noone really cares about that anymore, since it’s rather stupid anyway. Fansubbing nowadays is more about fun and it should be that way. So in short, Flomp worked on Eureka 7 because they wanted to. Not because someone requested it or a imagined demand from the leeching market.

23. 23
flamer Says:

LOL @ Spiral Devil

Wow flomp has done around 50 episodes of bleach, not just one or two. If you think this makes them unreliable then get a clue. People have work and school to attend to; fansubbers are not here to dedicate all their time translating/encoding/typesetting/quality setting and finally releasing anime FOR FREE for people like you who have no right to be complaining in the first place. Finally DVD-ripping is different from fansubs yes, but honestly does anyone even care? I mean people who will buy the DVDs will buy them. People, like me, who won’t buy the DVDs, will not buy them regardless of whether or not DVD rips come out or not; we just simply choose to spend our money on other items, like FOOD and GAS for example.

27. 27
pablo212 Says:

ya more then likely we will sub the movie.

Bleach status: 172 is in timing, 173-180 in TL

thedude Says:

Very much appreciated Flomp team, keep up the fantastic work guys.

Also, regarding Spiral Devil’s comments, I will gladly buy the series from Bandai when they stop selling a pile of four episode disks. Once this is put in a box set I’ll be jumping on it immediately, just like Full Metal Alchemist. I don’t want to put up with having a pile of singles and no particular way to store them as a single unit.

I also have a problem when it takes them two damn years to bring the whole thing over, and then for all I know it’s going to take another four or five for them to put it in a set. Not to mention it’s easier for me to dl the episodes than to rip them off my DVR, which raises more questions regarding fair use. It’s a mess…

I tend to agree, DVD rips are wrong, but again they are going to happen. At least fansub groups are able to get some shows out there and snag the attention of those who would have been on the edge of buying the dvds, like myself with Eureka 7. Now that I have been able to sit back and watch the show at my own pace, and repeat where necessary I love the show and am very willing to go out and buy the box set. Anime’s too damn expensive to just go out and buy sets of shows you don’t know much about…

29. 29
Spiral Devil Says:

this is class:

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y130/Gaara-chun/new-2-5.jpg

@thedude
4 or 5 episodes a disk is like 90 to 120 mins of video; the standard capacity of commercial DVDs, they don’t make exceptions for anime, i know what you mean and i’ve thought about it too but what do you expect them to throw 20 divx episodes in a dvd ?

Anime is expensive fucking duuh ! But i will say once again what Flomp did with Eureka and what every other person does who makes available anime thats sold on DVD is not only low, it is illegal. Period

ForceDestroyer Says:

Spirial Devil, I don’t know where you live, but I find even licensed shows hard to get. Especially good versions with *at least half decent* pricing.

So it differs. If a Miyazaki Animé comes out, I’m likely to rent or buy it. I bought Mononoké, Chihiro and gave Nausicaä to a friend as a present. HOWEVER, if I look for Eureka Seven, I don’t see any versions being sold locally, just UK import versions with a pricing I just can’t pay, I’d probably never be watching it under these conditions.

Also, I vastly prefer styled softsubs and h.264 in mkv files over region-coded masses of DVD-4 disks containing encrypted filechaos and possibly bad sectory (yeah “COPYPROTECTION”) forced to a PAL or NTSC format depending on region.

I must admit I kinda hate myself for spending so little on Animé. But the circumstances are just horrible, so I spend that money on music instead. ‘Cause the CD format and pricing is still bearable in comparison.

I’m hoping this will change in the future and with BluRay, but somewhat I’m having a bad Déjà Vue with the region code already.

31. 31
thedude Says:

Spiral Devil, I’m aware of the capacity limitations on DVD disks. I wasn’t saying to pack all the episodes onto one or two disks (which WOULD be very nice) I was merely saying that I don’t like to have 12 dvd singles laying around with four episodes each and one dvd box per dvd. Some people may like having racks of dvd boxes, but I don’t. I prefer slim cases and box sets, something along the lines of the new Cowboy Bebop box sets from bandia’s “anime legends” selection, or the Evangelion platinum box set.

Yes, anime is very expensive once it’s released, but the prices on series drops fast enough that I would rather have a soft copy laying around and just wait instead of spending far too much money on a set of singles. This is where Flomp jumps in. I still like the show, but I simply can’t justify spending $240 on the series at this point. Call me cheap if you want, I’m willing to admit to that, but I do try to pick up box sets of shows that I like so that I can have a hard copy laying around.

@ force destroyer, I tend to agree with what you’re saying. I also would not place much faith in BluRay dvds, as I’m sure they’re going to be trying to port over HD copies of the programs onto the disks which negates the size increase as far as episode capacity is concerned, as all the space will be spent on the uncompressed videos.

im not watching bleach right now but i hope u guys will be back on track by the time the filler ends

35. 35
shippuudenfan101 Says:

yea hopefully your be back when the filler ends cuz im not really worried about bleach cuz only one filler episode of Naruto then its back to the good manga plot:)

36. 36
thedude Says:

You guys know that the message did just say that their translators aren’t fans of the fillers, i.e. they probably aren’t going to bother with them. That’s fine as far as I’m concerned, the show should really just go on a damn break instead of forcing out more shitty story lines that have nothing to do with the actual story, (Naruto anyone?). Hmmm, Let’s stop right in the middle of a bunch of MAJOR fights and create our own story…BRILLIANT!.
And don’t give me the “They were catching up with the manga too fast” line. There was a perfectly good breaking point after the Kenpachi/Byakuya/Mayuri fights that they could have used, and then they could just go on a little vacation, or toss in all the filler they want and say “HEY, this isn’t part of the story.” The manga was at least THAT far when they chose to draw up bulk fillers. Not to mention they could have stretched those fights out for a good long time.
If you guys really want to see the filler crap that badly just go DL them off of DB. Even if they are ass hats they did all the damn Naruto fillers, why not do bleach as well….

Ischaldirh Says:

I broke down and downloaded from DB today. I miss the high quality you guys have though. :(

im loving the new look!!!!!

William Says:

I’ve been feeling the same way about the Bleach Fillers (I skipped the whole Bount Arc, but this arc doesn’t even fit!) Well, I can wait for it to go back to regular story. I can suffer through any hiatus! I like the new look for the site!

43. 43
shippuudenfan101 Says:

lol you skipped the bount arc too..I’ve been thinking about watching it since it airs on adult swim cuz i kinda like the dub but its so hard to watch fillers when you know that its all bullshit that never happened

44. 44
Merril Says:

Only good thing about bount arc was you got to see alot of different shinigami. Rukia and other death gods actually using their powers. Instead of just watching Ichigo every week.

45. 45
Gonzoe Says:

i kinda liked the bount arc, u get to see soifon and matsuchi (dunno how to spell the head of the science division) use their shikai/bankais. But then again i didnt know it was a filler until i started reading the manga. I kinda wonder though if this new captain will appear in the manga. (lulubell in d grayman appeared in the anime b4 the manga).

46. 46
shippuudenfan101 Says:

i think im going to watch the bunt arc now
but i don’t think that new captain will ever show up in the manga
cuz the amine is done by a different person cuz im pretty sure Tite Kubo ( the guy who does the manga) doesnt like how they throw in fillers.

they should just do a season final then wait awhile for the manga to get ahead then start a new season

47. 47
Gyro Says:

Just to be in clear, are you guys (especially “Spiral Devil”) aware of the fact that there are countries which are just discovering the anime culture and are not worth a bother for those companies of yours ? Maybe you have dozen of anime shops behind the next corner, but when it was not for groups like Flomp, the few anime fans here would have to travel abroad o to get something, because till not long ago, the online shops didn’t even deliver here(not mentioning that with small orders the shipping costs can be higher than the package costs). So simply we would have practicaly no access to anime except the few things we saw on tv or the few movies that finally! came through.

48. 48

@ pablo212 thank you so much cuz i thought i saw your name in the first spl release by[ Kuro Hana] and since their dead i wasn’t sure if a fan sub group would do it so thanks for answering my question

and i cant wait to see your awesome quality for bleach movie 2 that comes out in two weeks i hope you do the movie in your 1280*720 quality cuz DVD quality is “ok” but i would love to see [flomp]s HD upscale quality

pls don’t drop bleach and u can start from the non filler arc then do the filler arc one by one later.

61. 61
pablo212 Says:

look people I am the ONLY one from Rumbel working here in Flomp so that solves that problem, as for the Bleach subbing I hate fillers with a passion, atm I also overloaded with stuff to do for Rumbel so u have to wait a bit longer, btw we will be subbing the movie.

62. 62
shippuudenfan101 Says:

yes yes thank you for answering the question

63. 63
cav Says:

does it mean that only you, pablo dropped bleach but not flomp?

64. 64
Joe Says:

Thank you for clarifying!

65. 65
shippuudenfan101 Says:

@ cav it basically means bleach is dropped in tell the fillers r over

66. 66
syn5150 Says:

and it looks like the fillers are almost over ^_^ cuz theres a new OP and ED starting from ep 190 so hopefully starting then they get back to the Hueco Mundo Arc

67. 67
Darth Arrow Says:

@ shippuudenfan101

pablo212 didin’t actually say that Flomp is going to drop Bleach or stall it till the fillers are over. He only said that:
“as for the Bleach subbing I hate fillers with a passion, atm I also overloaded with stuff to do for Rumbel so u have to wait a bit longer”
I for one really hope that they are NOT dropping Bleach, even if they think fillers are 100% crap I’d hope they’d find staff to keep the project going (like AnimeONE did with Naruto’s fillers which were 250% crap compared to that of Bleach…). They are the only alternative to Dattebayo :(
So I’d just like to know whether pablo212 meant that we’ll just have to wait for Bleach episodes (maybe a mass-release someday?) or if he meant that Bleach TV is dropped and we have to wait for the movie?

68. 68
Minamo Says:

At least they are going to sub the movie. The way the Gin said it in his clip, the fillers are almost over. So we will just have to wait and see.

69. 69

And hell yeah they’re going to sub the movie, it’s going to be the driving force in the Flomp-revitalization! So buck up, put on a smile, and lets get these crazy-busy-foos to step it up, WOOOO!

Jinbei Says:

Hey guys, Thanks for the movie!
Hate to be a pest, and don’t even know if you’ll check these posts, but if FLOMP’S BACK, BABY, then any chance of an update on the episode status?

76. 76
Darth Arrow Says:

And what’s gonna happen to Bleach? Been waiting for ages, at some point you said that when ep 190 is released, you’ll be up and running again… Now it is released…

77. 77
ForceDestroyer Says:

Plan was perfect (up and running on Ep 190, which truly was the cut!), but so far the result resembles Bleach-Society.

Disabling comments on the recent newsposts doesn’t exactly add to it. -_- We’re two episodes back into Bleach, plz give us status!
