Flomp-Fansubs

Flomp fansubs is a group originally formed by me, pablo212 and my e-sis custards to bring about a revolution in the fansubbing world. It was made to sub Bleach in high quality, with speed, also encoded to be both a mkv and a xvid file. Born from a joint with Rumbel-subs and Triumph fansubs with the founding members being from Bleach-Society. Then the fateful day came around, June 19th, 2007. The day I, pablo212 went insane and permanently jointed with 3 of the other groups he works for. AnimeShare Fansubs, Stray Life International, and Rumbel subs. This then grew within 3 days to encompass 8 groups, now accounting for 60+ staff. Flomp works behind the scenes on a lot of the anime out there, currently we are working on 6 shows within the group and 5 externally with other groups. Anyways the few rules that Flomp follows is no credits given or taken, we work as a group whether it is a good or bad release. Work with fans to improve our subbing standards and quality, ensure timely releases, lay back and have fun doing what you do! Anyways I have people to interview and stuff to work on.

Thanks and enjoy your visit and our work!!!

I just wanted to stop by and say that i appreciate the good job you all do on the subs.
I see an immediate difference between what you all do,and say,a DB sub. That’s not to say that they are bad, much to the contrary,i’d been using them for all the other seasons, but i recently heard good things about you all on the imdb boards for Bleach..so i decided to try you guys out…turns out the poster was 100% correct about you.

From reading the”About”page above,it becomes abundantly clear that you all LOVE what you’re doing here, and don’t really view it as a burden, which makes watching the sub even better, mainly because i know,i personally no longer feel a little guilty, sorta like i’m inconveniencing someone, because i know that doing the subs takes alot of of dedication, time, and resources on you guys(and girls) parts.
Probably my favorite thing about your subs, versus the others,is the way you guys put the little”cultural reference memo” at the top of the screen when someone says something that would otherwise have no meaning in direct translation. I don’t know who came up with that idea, but it was ingenious,it seems like it allows the translation to stay truer to form, and allows the viewer to stay immersed in what’s going on,rather than being overly localized(one of the many reasons i don’t like the english dubs anymore).

to make a long story (somewhat)short…I just wanted to let you guys know that you’re awesome, and the work that you do is greatly appreciated, you deserve at the very least a round of applause.

    *standing ovation*

lol welcome and thanks for the comments man, and yes we do the references and stuff to help with general Translations to keep it true to form, I prefer them and so do many people, anyways thanks for the comments and enjoy the episodes. pablo212

One thing I really hated about dattebayo was the way they sub, they change things that really annoys me. Personally i’m one of those that prefer literal subs. It’s great that you lot are keeping Bleach true to form :D

I once asked dattebayo about a sentence they changed in an episode, because it did not relate to what the characters are saying on screen and erm… they banned me. And no answer was given, nice way to treat fans (>__< ;)

I am another DB Refugee, and it appears they have once again stopped their fansubbing, is it a troll, is it real? Who knows, and who cares! I can sympathize with their No Youtube plight, but from what I can read of their “Press Release” (the page can’t load fully) they say they are halting all work, AND won’t tell us how long it will be till they resume (Indefinably is not a word I like to hear without some qualifications on how your going to check for compliance, when your going to check for compliance, and so on and so forth.)

But that’s all beside the point I’m fed up with the trolls, the rudeness to fans, and the people who seem to get off on other’s misery. From what I’ve read you seem to release about on par with them…and your the only other english group I can find. So I’ll be More then happy to make a Perminant switch, even if it IS just another stupid Troll, as long as you keep pumping out on a reasonably fast manner.

One last question are you planning to sub that movie…the one that DB has been showing Previews of at the end of the show?

Have you guys thought about subbing Naruto Shippuden since Dattebayo has shut their site down? If so, I would love to help…I’ve read DB’s fansubs and some of them have grammatical and spelling errors…don’t know why I’m so OCD when it comes to writing, but for some reason it gives me an eye twitch. I hope you do take on Naruto Shippuden. There are a lot of Naruto fans out there that are disappointed that DB has shut their site down, even though it maybe temporary.

Great job with Bleach . Flomp encodes seem to be better sub quality then db
I and a lot of users dont mind waiting a few days extra for a better subbed
job rather then a quickly rushed out encode . Also Flomp and pretty much
every other group that releases XVID AVI encodes work on a large range
of dvd players that support XviD ,but DB encodes dont . They are encoded
with something different to prevent them on working on xvid dvd players.
DB do seem rude towards people at times but in a way I can understand
they must get a lot of stupid questions and people unwilling to read topics
faqs , still they dont seem to listen to their customer base .

Since DB dont do Naruto any more it will be interesting if Flomp starts
releasing Naruto fansubs or if SD resumes doing it again

Hey Flomp, I have recently started downloading your releases and I must say that I’m impressed with both the video quality and the word choice/connotations used in your subbing. So for what it’s worth, thank you.

I do have a suggestion to bolster your viewership. There’s a large number of us bleach-watchers that likes to have “all of one subber” as long as possible (ie, we all cried when Lunar left us). So here’s the problem, the old subs just aren’t been seeded the way you want them to be and us “all oner’s” can’t go back far enough to satisfy our backup needs. Here’s the solution: setup a batch torrent from when you started to the current episode. Or alternatively, setup several batch torrents with 25 episodes in them a piece. That translates to less of a seeding nightmare AND allows for greater viewership in the future.

Best of luck to you all and thank you for providing us all with our Bleach fix :)

exactly ! they almost failed at making AVIs (since they don’t work on my DVD player either) and they make fun in their website of people who complain about even more simple stuff, they must think they are so cool

You guys are awesome. I’ve noticed that your releases have been coming out later than DB’s but I’m glad for it. Your releases have the best quality than any other sub (even Lunar, when they were still releasing Bleach) in video and subbing. I love the culture references and alternative translations (like in Bleach when every other word derived from a Spanish word)

Your subs are awesome, and keep up the good work.
