Questions?

This section will be used to ask questions about any concerns you might have that otherwise will go unanswered if you post it on any news post that isn’t one of the current ones. Hopefully one of the staff or members who post will address it. This being said, DO NOT ask about statuses of the episodes since we TRY to update it with a news post if it’s going to be a long delay.

Can you please change the bleach HD releases back to 23.976 constant fps? Your HD episodes now lag my computer like hell :( Other groups’ HD episodes don’t at all though.
    Thanks.

  35. Viral Gaara Said:

if an HD ‘lags’ your computer (which is capable of playing 720p files) and it’s because of a vfr problem then it’s most likely its gonna be a problem for most users and not just you

    @flomp
for all those who will DL Bleach in the future a v2 of episode 168 with the slow ending would be a good idea

  36. Harr Said:

Hey, do you mind if we put up streams on streaming sites? Good streaming sites

  37. gamessmash Said:

So, I guess it is a problem for most users, right?
Mainly the ending and opening lag my computer.
They don’t need 100fps, 23.976fps is fine for them.

    VFR for the lag.
CFR for the 100% sure if your computer can play the video or not.

  38. Viral Gaara Said:

    @Harr
First of all, anime stream sites are one of the lowest points of anime exploitation
take brilliant work like bleach and lower it to the level of a crappy video with no value taken with a cell phone, sized to shit quality surrounded by a shit load of advertisements and basically add it to a commercial website’s available viewing material only to make it accessible to the last uninterested person who does not care about anything that is more than two clicks away

    useless

  39. I know you guys are busy and this is probably annoying but when are you guys gonna post the new Bleach episodes? The only reason I ask is because I usually watch Dattebayo just so I get the basic “what’s the episode about” junk out of my head and then I watch your version because your translations are WAY better. Sorry about the annoying question and keep up the great work!

    *gives two thumbs up*

  45. Trowa Said:

I just recently started looking for dual-audio mkvs of all my favorite anime, one of which is Eureka 7. I had settled for the avi rips for over half of the series, because I only knew of the [LIME] release and never knew Flomp did a release too. Now that I know of this release, I wonder how I can go about getting it. I’ve been doing nothing but direct downloads (mostly off of Megaupload) for all my anime, and know nothing about how to use torrents and how to download what I want. I have three questions:

1: What would be the best torrent tracker/client to use to download these episodes (basically the entire series)?
2: Is there a list of the proper release titles for each episode (something like [Flomp]_Eureka_7_001_[funny#here]) so that I don’t end up getting the wrong files?
3: Are the seeds mentioned in the request page still active for the entire series?

Hopefully these aren’t completely idiotic questions, but I’ve been wanting to see Eureka 7 again since I saw it butchered up on Cartoon Network last year. Thanks in advance for your help.

  46. ren Said:

what is your eureka seven resoloution 4:3 or 16:9 ratio?

  47. hello Said:

    how to download?

  48. Trowa Said:

I was hoping that someone might have seen my previous questions, and have answers. I don’t want to pester or anything, I just hoped that someone might have read what I asked and had some help to offer. I really am interested in knowing what the proper names are, and the best way to go about downloading the episodes of Eureka 7. Thanks.

  49. The Flux Liner Said:

Your questions aren’t idiotic at all,Trowa! I’m going to tell you what you need to know, because no one else does (apparently).

You can find these torrent-files on a site called tracker.anirena.com, but to make it as easy as possible for you, I zipped them and uploaded them to Mediafire:

    http://www.mediafire.com/?1t54×8gcg3g

This little archive contains 4 torrent-files. All E7 you need, all by the mighty Flomp! The first is a pack that contains ep’s 1-26, the 2nd pack contains eps 27-30, the 3rd contains ep’s 31-43, and the last one the remaining 8 Episodes.

And here is the client program you need in order to download them. It’s called µTorrent. It’s filesize is very small -only 260 KB! Personally, I prefer Azureus (because I’m a control freak) but µTorrent is just as good (and better for beginners):

    http://www.mediafire.com/?gnluyvbepyc

Just open the .torrent-files with µTorrent and start to download (but better not try to download them all at once – do this only if you have a very fast internet connection, and also an above average upload speed. If I download big files like this, I always download one torrent at a time.).
At the beginning the download-speed will be very slow, but that’s normal. However, as the Eureka-torrents don’t have that much seeders, don’t expect ultra-high download rates either. But I think, in a few weeks (at maximum), if you download constantly, you will be the proud owner of the best release ever (of E7) on you harddrive!

  50. Trowa Said:

Thank you very much for your help, The Flux Liner, I’m really grateful for not only your help, but that you went to the trouble of putting them all into simple download files so I can set it up without having to fight through IRC and trying to figure that all out. I’m going to start the download process now on the files, and then set it all up.

I really appreciate this, thank you.

  51. Trowa Said:

I finally finished the torrents for Eureka 7! I’ve checked them over, and there seems to be nothing wrong… well, except one problem.

Episodes 31-43 (from the third torrent) don’t have any subtitles at all. None. Even MKVToolNix (which I use to import/export subs and audio tracks) couldn’t find a trace of the missing subs.

I don’t know if it’s something that was already addressed (like a seperate torrent for those missing subs) or if it’s something local only to me. Is there anyway I can get these subtitles? I think they’d be more than small enough to fit in a MediaFire or Megaupload zip, unless they’ve already been put in a torrent file.

    Thanks again!

  52. Trowa Said:

Crud, I meant it was episodes 31 through 42 that was missing the subtitles. Sorry about that. And using the search option didn’t reveal a solution.

  53. Trowa Said:

Oops… I made a mistake there, it turns out that it’s episodes 32 through 42 that are missing their subtitles. Hope someone can help me with that.

  54. Strider Said:

What about the episode 172 of Bleach ??

  55. The Flux Liner Said:

Mmmh…maybe it has something to do with the way the subtitles are encoded within the mkv and mkvtoolnix as well as the media player/s you use have some kind of problem with it. I mean mkv is a trickier codec than avi, there can be all sorts of unexpected problems.
But since I am no subtitle expert the only tip I can give you is that you should try to download the media player I use for everything (I’ve also also watched E7 with it). It’s the ‘underdog’ among the media players, the KMplayer:

    http://www.kmplayer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4094

I have completely stopped using VLC (or any other player) since the day I downloaded the KM. Sounds pathetic, but it’s true. In KMplayer, Alt+X will show or hide the subtitles. It really should work, because there is no way the mkv’s you have are different from the ones I have. And I do have subtitles…in all files, that is.

    Good luck!
    Flux

  56. Trowa Said:

Thank you again for your help, Flux Liner. I discovered that the reason why I couldn’t find them, was because for some reason Media Player Classic (the version, with the codecs I use) didn’t like the S_Text/ASS subtitle format (which I’m sure KMPlayer is able to find). I’ve always used MPC, because it works perfectly on my HDTV setup I’ve got here, but your suggestion did help me.

Knowing that the subtitles are styled/imported SubStation Alpha / Advanced SSA
subtitles, I just had to open up Virtual Dub MOD and export the subtitles stream as a .Srt file to use with that episode. It’s not as “pretty” (since now I have two files per episode), but I can still use MPC.

I think with a little work, I can get the .srt file to import back to the MKV file without too much trouble, but at the present MKVToolnix (my “editor of choice”) is returning errors telling me that I can’t import the .srt in place of the .ass file.

But I will get it… and when I do, I’ll likely upload the subtitles to Megaupload and instructions for others on how to use them. Thank you again, Flux Liner, you’re a huge help.

  57. Trowa Said:

Heh, took me a lot less time to “crack” this “problem” than I expected. I just needed to update my copy of MKVToolnix to v2.3.0 so that it could replace the .ass subtitles with my VirtualDUBMod 1.5.10.0 ripped .srt file that I demuxed.

It was a lot easier than I expected… though to make the subtitles (.srt) display correctly, I had to edit out the style comment tags (that was easy enough, but time consuming) so that they wouldn’t appear with each new line of text.

I’ll be making subtitles for episodes 32 through 42 in the near future, cleaned up and able to merge back into the original MKVs for others who aren’t using KMPlayer. It’ll take some time, as I don’t have free time to do this right now (the ripping is easy enough, but cleanup and testing will take more time)… but when I have it finished, I’ll upload the .srt files in a rar archive and post it here. That way I can at least give something back to Flomp for giving me access to this wonderful series.

  58. Trowa Said:

I finally had enough free time to complete the subtitles for episodes 32 through 42 of Eureka 7! I’ve retained the same name for the .srt files as the original torrented episodes (for ease of use). These have been tested in Media Player Classic, and work very well (timing is perfect with Japanese audio). You may notice a few typos here and there, but those weren’t my doing. I left the subtitles exactly as they were originally done by FLOMP, and only did a little cleanup and re-encoded the subtitles from the original Styled Subtitle format to SubRip Text format to be used in all players.

    File download (Megaupload): http://www.megaupload.com/?d=5AM3KU83
    File name: [Flomp]Eureka_7_Episodes_32_to_42_Subtitles
    Size: 106.75 KB

    Contents:
    [Flomp]_Eureka_7_-_32_[Dual][H264][6284A463].srt
    [Flomp]_Eureka_7_-_33_[Dual][H264][73171C33].srt

    [Flomp]_Eureka_7_-_37_[Dual][H264][605B0A73].srt

    [Flomp]_Eureka_7_-_42_[Dual][H264][44048CAB].srt

To use these subtitles in your favorite player, keep them in the same folder as the .MKV video files, ensure that the episode and subtitles have the same name as each other, and enable subtitles in your player. I hope that these subtitles will be useful to others, and the link will be included somewhere on the site where they’ll be helpful. Enjoy!

  59. Trowa Said:

Okay, given how simple it was to edit the subtitles and get them to work perfectly when re-merged back into the .mkv files, I wanted to try my hand at “improving” a few aspects of the subtitles themselves.

For instance, in the opening credits and closing credits, Flomp’s original subtitles have the English translation of the song right on top of the Japanese… which is fine and all, but I’ve been spoiled and enjoy having the original Japanese lyrics at the top of the screen ala karaoke style, and the English lyrics down at the bottom of the screen.

I’ve learned that to do that, just seperate the lyrics (Japanese on one line, English on the next), have the Japanese text preceeded with {/a8} on it’s timing line in the .srt and then the English text is preceeded with {/a2} on it’s timing line.

    An example would be:
    1
    00:00:56,003 –> 00:00:56,003
    {\a8}Japanese lyrics go here!

    2
    00:00:56,003 –> 00:00:56,003
    {\a2}And English lyrics go here!

That way while the Japanese lyrics of the open/ending theme play, you have the English also going… but with Japanese at the top of the screen, and English at the bottom. It’s basically a psuedo-HTML tag.

…which brings me to my question. I’ve noticed that the subtitles for Eureka 7 used this to place select text in different locations, and also in a few instances, used other style/html codes to change the text.

    Examples being:
    1: {\i1} + {\i1} = The text in the middle is italics
    2: {\b1} + {\b0} = The text in the middle is bold
    3: {\u1} + {\u0} = The text in the middle is underlined
4: /N = Line break. Text following this will be below the text preceeding it.

I’ve found that these work beautifully, even in .srt files with Media Player Classic… and while I have heard that you can do this much easier in .ssa/.ass format, I want to know if there are other style codes that I could use in the .srt format. I ask this, because I want to give some subtitles different colors (if possible) as well as do different text sizes and fonts. For now, all I can do is make the default size and color.

I’d appreciate any help that can be given. I’ve already added this knowledge to further “improving” and revising the original subtitles I’ve done, and wouldn’t mind uploading a “revised subtitles pack” for Eureka 7, since I’m already doing this for myself anyway, and there’s no reason not to share. Thanks.

update: so apparently one of our TLers was a fake and stole from another group… so we are redoing the sections they did and will have it out later tonight the eps are all done TL btw.

Any update on this? Was there another problem?

  61. Trowa Said:

Finally figured out how to add color and change sizes in .srt subtitles format… turns out that I can use HTML codes to pull it off… at least in Media Player Classic. I was surprised to find out that it worked that easily… So I’ll be updating my subtitles a little bit to include some color and font size changes (especially for the faux-karaoke lyrics in the themes) for my final draft of the subtitles.

I notice no one has really said anything about any of this… so I don’t know if there is any interest in this at all… if there isn’t, I won’t be upset or anything, but I was kind of expecting at least a “Why waste your time?” or a “Sounds cool!” reply by now.

Ah well, I’m still going to be doing this for my private collection of Eureka 7, and when I’ve finished it, I’ll upload the whole collection of subtitles onto Megaupload for others to download. Hopefully someone will want them… if not, no big deal.

  62. Merril Said:

I’ve never watched Eureka 7 but I’m sure there are people that are interested.

It took me 2 months to figure out people were still posting on flomps website, the bleach thread is locked and I had no idea you were still conversing in this thread. Maybe thats why you haven’t had much response.

  63. Trowa Said:

@Merril – Ah… so I take it that there’s a better place I should be bringing this stuff up at? Well now I feel kind of silly for posting so much to here. Would you happen to have the url for where everyone else is? I figure they might be interested to see the progress I’ve made in the re-subtitle “project” I’ve done.

And to those (like me) that have been hanging out here, I’ve uploaded an alpha release of the opening theme to Eureka 7’s opening theme (from Episode 1) with the new subtitle style. This is an MKV video with two subtitles tracks. The first (default) are the enhanced subtitles, the second are the “plain” subtitles that use system/player defaults. Just play the video sample in your favorite player, making sure that the subtitles are enabled. You should notice a definite difference between the two sets.

    Video Sample:
    http://www.megaupload.com/?d=SP3MHBCG

Let me know what you think. :D

Disclaimer: This sample uses Flomp Fansubs’ original timing, translation, and video encoding. I do not take credit for the subtitles “original” formating, timing, translation, or placement. This was a fan project to show appreciation for Flomp’s original work, and to compensate for the fact that Media Player Classic 6.4 could not properly render the subtitles for episodes 32 through 42 (at least on my system). The new coloring, font size, and font style are my original work, and should be treated as such. These subtitles are created in the Subrip Text format, and have been remuxed into the MKV container with MKVToolnix.

The final re-subtitles will be released as stand-alone .srt files for use ONLY with Flomp’s original .mkv release of Eureka 7, and will work only with those files.

    Hello:

I know they are somewhat old but noticed that older bleach eps even up to 190 and further from dec 08 have no seeds at all.. ever. Same thing for Eureka.

Which is too bad.. Might as well remove them off this site then.. the links I mean if we aren’t going to be able to dl them. It is too bad cause love your quality releases and I wanted to go back and replace as many of the DB dl’s as I could with yours.

If you guys are in trouble why don’t you pair up with ElementsevenX if you both created one large subbing team you could be on time and have all the necessary members

yeah, join force with Element !

I used to get BLEACH from this website
    http://cyb3rfr34k.thebotkiller.ath.cx/
